IT’S A TKO AS NIKE TERMINATES MANNY PACQUIAO CONTRACT OF GAY REMARKS!

Manny Pacquiao suffered his latest knockout at the hands of his endorsement partner, Nike. The athletic company has terminated its contract with the struggling boxer after his comments that gay people were “worse than animals.”

Pacquiao made the comments while on the Senate campaign trail in the Philippines over the weekend. However, on Monday, the boxer tried to do a bit of damage control by apologizing for comparing gays to animals. He’s still firm in his beliefs that gay marriage is not okay. So rather than condemn the LGBT community,  he offered this, “God bless you all and I’m praying for you.”

Nike, a supporter of Gay rights and the Be True campaign issued the following statement, “Nike strongly opposes discrimination of any kind and has a long history of supporting and standing up for the rights of the LGBT community. We no longer have a relationship with Manny Pacquiao.”

The deal, worth a reported one million dollars per year won’t affect Manny too much. He’s still worth a reported two hundred million. But should he ever get that rematch with Mayweather, expect rainbow flags waving in the arena for another swift knockout!

TRANSGENDER STUDENT WINS LOCKER ROOM LAWSUIT AGINST ILLINOIS SCHOOL DISTRICT

In a major victory for transgender rights activists all over the country, a young girl just won a major victory against a Chicago area school district. The young girl had brought suit through the ACLU claiming she wasn’t given access to the girls’ locker room, even though she participates in girls sports activities.

After a thorough investigation, the US Department of Education found that the district did in fact discriminate against the student by not providing locker room access. In a statement, the department further noted, “All students deserve the opportunity to participate equally in school programs and activities.” They gave the district 30 days to come to a settlement.

Township High School District 211 disagreed with the ruling and issued it’s own statement. However, because of anti-discrimination laws based on sexuality, the school district also runs the risk of losing its Title IX funding.
