In an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon, Academy Award winner, Morgan Freeman announced his support and endorsement ofHillary Clinton for President. When asked by Lemon, what are some of the major issues facing the country, Freeman pointed to security and income inequality.

Freeman’s public support in the interview serves to validate that he wasn’t just collecting a voice-over check in Clinton’s latest ad. In it Freeman intones, “Her life’s work has been about breaking barriers and so would her presidency, which is why for every American who’s not being paid what they’re worth, who’s being held back by student debt or a system tilted against them, and there are far too many of you, she understands that our country can’t reach its potential unless we all do.”

The ad debuted Friday on MSNBC and a longer version is set to begin airing in South Carolina just in time for the state’s Democratic primary.

Fashion Police’s Joan Rivers Calls President Gay, First Lady Transgender and Later Storms Off CNN Interview

2014-07-05 22.30.58 The best 4th of July fireworks were set of by none other than Joan Rivers herself. In the space of a couple of days she referred to Barack Obama as the first gay President; Michelle Obama as a Transgender; picked a fight with PETA over wearing fur on the cover of her new book; and walked off the set of an interview with CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield. Now the comments about POTUS and FLOTUS can’t be taken too seriously. After all, the Grand Dame of The Fashion Police is a comedian first. Besides, Barack and Michelle have been called worse on the regular by Republicans and Fox News. As for wearing fur, she pointed out to Fredricka in her interview that she should basically shut up unless she started wearing a paper belt. And then after feeling that the CNN host was conducting a negative interview, the old star jumped off the telephone book on her chair and stormed off set. I’ve always liked Joan and while her sense of humor can be rude, insensitive, crass and downright insulting it is her way of being funny. But if Ms. Rivers expects people to give her a pass for being a comedian, shouldn’t she be able to tough it out with a newscaster asking questions? #SheMad
