Sharapova’s French Fashion The Best This Year…

Every year this time I settle in and get ready to see some of the best fashion to come out of Paris. No, I’m not talking the Runway looks of Yves Saint Laurant, Givenchy or Chanel. Or, even the elegant chic of France’s First Lady/Courtesan, Carla Bruni Sarkozy. My favorite French fashion comes from the annual French Open at Roland Garros. When it comes to tennis, the leaders in fashion on the women’s side have to be the Williams Sisters. Think of Venus’ in that racy can-can look of 2010 and Serena’s footballer look from 2002. The men aren’t always as daring, but the dapper looks of Federer, married or not, always give my fashion a “rise”. And Nadal , after inspiring the shirtless/Capri short look in 2003, looks athletically tasty in smart Nike polo shirts and knee-length shorts. But this year’s clear French Open Fashion winner is Maria Sharapova. Mellow in yellow and sliding under the radar, she looks to make a fashionable run towards hoisting the trophy .

MUAH!
